Review Footage -
I am most pleased with the night footage at the chalk pit using the small LED. We got some good effects from the light ray, shining on the performance and also a good reflection off the metal stairs. We have plenty of B-roll clips that we can use if we need it. Our performance shots could be better but our star is not a natural performer. There is plenty of potential in our footage for a very good music video. In terms of sticking to genre, I feel the aesthetics match the mood of the song.
Initial Edit Structure -
The start of the video is going to be an introduction so I will use some of the establishing shots we have. After that, I want to have elements from the different shoots. One of the main effects I want to achieve is him picking up the fire which has to be to the lyric 'bring fire from her world'. There is also the shot of the shoes to go with the associated lyrics so that structure has set itself. There has to be some performance so I will use the best clips of performance that we have and lip-sync them. After that, there is space for creativity because we have plenty of footage.

For this shot, I layered two shots over each other. The layer above is a light, I keyed out the black and then animated the layer to match over his head for a swaying seen. I animated the position, scale, rotation and anchor point.
With this shot, I put two performance shots next to each other and put a dissolve between which resulted in double-layered arm movements.
This shot lines up with the words 'bring fire from her world' so I composited some fire onto his hands as a reference.
The first shot needed something special and this tint effect with colours that you can animate allowed me to achieve this nice colour mix.
I matched the audio at the start of the video to the beats to make it more interesting. Sometimes this is easy and it sometimes it is natural.
There are shots with lip-syncing which were difficult to match because of the performance but I am happy with what I got.
